Litchfield Hills Youth Lacrosse follows CONNY and US Lacrosse regulations for team divisions:

Teams are grade-based with an age cut-off.

Team Age Levels for the 2023 season are:

Senior – (14U-8th grade, 13U-7th grade) (No 9th graders)
14 and Under as of July 1, 2022.
Born after 03/01/2008 (Born 03/01/08 thru 06/30/10) 

Junior – (12U-6th grade, 11U-5th grade)
12 and Under on July 1, 2022.
Born after 07/01/2010 (Born 07/01/10 thru 06/30/12) 

Lightning – (10U-4th grade, 9U-3rd grade)
10 and Under on July 1, 2022.
Born after 07/01/2012 (Born 07/01/12 thru 06/30/14
Will play primarily 7v7, small field

Bantam – (8U through 6U) K, 1st, & 2nd grade
8 and Under on July 1, 2022.
Born after 07/01/2014
Will play 7v7 or 6v6, small field

Note-There a certain instances when players may be invited to "play up" in an age division above theirs.  In no case can a player ever "play down" to a younger level.

Players who are old for their grade, i.e. a 4th grader born before 07/01/2012, will have to play up to the next bracket. See age cut-offs above.
