2021 season

LHYL families,

The youth season is coming together. Games are scheduled and we are optimistic we will have a pretty close-to-normal season.

The board will be meeting next week and setting registration fees and we'll be opening up the registration portals. More details next week.

High school is still a question mark. The latest news from CIAC is great, but there are still some issues we have to overcome, primarily finding schools to schedule games with us. We may end up doing in-house programs with scrimmages and hopefully sprinkling in some games with schools willing to play us. We are working on it! Stay tuned.

High School teams

We frequently get questions about our High School "club" teams.
Litchfield Hills offers both a boys and a girls high school lacrosse team for high school students from our area to be able to play. Many high schools in our immediate area do not offer lacrosse as a school sport. Additionally, students who may play a different spring sport for their school can still be able to play high school lacrosse. (Check with your school's athletics rules).

Students in CIAC member schools may not play lacrosse for their school team AND for our team.

We play against other club programs, and local private and public schools.
Players in our programs come from:
Holy Cross
(offers a boys team)

Housatonic Valley (offers a girls team)
Nonnewaug (has a boys club team like ours, but not girls)

Our teams are not "club teams" by today's definition (pay-to-play "elite" programs) - We are more like a park and rec type regional club team.

Go Hills!
